Pangpang festival held by Mannam

As seen in this picture, many many people came to the Pangpang festival. 

Many chairs were prepared for the guests in front of the main stages. 

As I remember, this performance was taken by Vietnam participants. 

There were many performances including this Vietnam traditional dance.

Furthermore, some interesting performances were performed throughout the Central park. 

This team belonged to Mannam Bucheon branch.

There was a booth for health in the corner of the park.

As a volunteer, I should come to the festival in early morning to prepare. 

My duty was to manage the Mannam booth to promote Mannam.

I decorated this space. This space was for 'PEACE'. 

Anyone could write a peace message on the paper like a cookie man.

 In fact, my intention was ruined by strong wind in this space. 

I wanted make cookie men attached each other and hang it between two artificial trees. 

But..the trees were too weak to stand the strong wind. 

Anyway, although I found the work physically demanding, it was quite enjoyable and rewarding. I am proud of myself as a Mannam volunteer. 

I love Mannam.

Pangpang festival held by Mannam international

On August in 2012, Mannam international held Pangpang festival for foreigners in Bucheon.
As seen in the pictures, it was a perfect weather for family outgoing.

'Pangpang' is a cute sound in Korean. For example, when a small balloon bursts, it sounds 'pang'. It was intersting that 'pangpang' means 'heavy' in Chinese.  : )

Anyway, Pangpang festival was for the foreigners living in Bucheon but many Bucheon citizens enjoyed the festival,too.

I remember that this game was not a Korean traditional game. But many children enjoyed it.

This festival was held in the Central park near Bucheon cityhall.

Mannam international organized this festival and Bucheon branch of Mannam helped managing all programm.

Cool Summer festival for foreigners held by Mannam

 After lunch, we had a recreation time in the auditorium. looks funny?

As the final programm, everyone including Mannam volunteer workers rided the water sled.

At first, I was a little afraid of the riding because it was fast. But I could enjoy riding at second riding. kk

  

After all excited programm, Mannam volunteer workers gave our friend, all foreigners a send off by waving our hands.

Though it was really hot last summer, I believe that the foreign friends who came to the cool summer festival must had enjoyed their summer vacation.

Last summer, it was very very hot.  

Mannam international west branch planned the summer vacation for foreign workers in Korea because we heard that it was not easy for them to go trip during the summer vacation. 

We found the water sled theme park in Kimpo youth center. 

We could lend the youth center and the water sled theme park with cheap cost.  

On 22nd July in 2012, Many people came to the Cool Summer Festival.  

There were some interesting recreation programs in the playground.

When I joined the volunteer work at the Sri Lanka cricket rally, I drew a Sri Lanka singer's face on his right arm.  

He liked the drawing very much. ^---^

Sri Lanka cricket rally

Last summer, Mannam west branch supported the Sri Lanka cricket rally in Kimpo city.
Mannam volunteers arrived the high school at 7 AM to prepare the events.

When the Sri Lanka cricket teams arrived the school gate, Mannam volunteers gave a warm welcome with smile.

Mannam military band and art performance team performed in the opening event.

Though it was really hot all day, every Mannam volunteers helped the players to enjoy the game until the end. In fact, I sweated too much and kept drinking water all day.

At lunch, we had Sri Lanka fried rice. It was delicious. : )

Mannam prepared cool water for the players. Also, we put the Sri Lanka flag sticker and  cricket sticker on their faces. Some Sri Lanka players took the stickers in memory of the rally.

It was too hot but I had a good time.
